Winter Wishing

My time of house-sitting is officially over! We stayed at the lovely house for the last time last night and then moved out this morning. It's weird because I actually became quite attached to the house and the little dog Crumble! I'm not sure if I want to leave. *sad face here*

So, yesterday was the first official 'rainy day' of the autumn/winter season for me. Where I live it was cold, rainy and cloudy all day so me and my boyfriend had a lovely lazy day at the house. It mostly consisted of bacon sandwiches, endless cups of tea and a few episodes of 'Breaking Bad'.
Although most people complain about the rain and the wet (and usually so do I), yesterday was somewhat refreshing. Sometimes its really nice to just take a break from busy day-to-day life and spend time with the people who are closest to you doing absolutely nothing. Rainy days are so perfect for this.

Annnnnyway, this chilly weather has got me thinking! I have put together my own 'Winter Wishlist' - a list of just a few things I wish to have this winter.

1. Glade 'Spiced Apple & Cinnamon' Candle - £5.00
A good scented candle always gets me in the mood for a cosy winter night. I especially love Glade's 'Spiced Apple & Cinnamon' candle - the strong scent is absolutely delicious and always drifts through the whole house, making it smell like Christmas and magic.

2. H&M Dark Grey Knitted Tights - £5.99

I don't really own many pairs of tights and I'd really love a good thick pair this winter. I think tights are great - you can literally wear them with anything! It gets pretty cold where I live during the winter so I would definitely need a thick woolly pair to keep my legs warm. I love these in grey as I think they'd go with more clothes in my wardrobe and would suit my style better, but they also come in Black, Burgundy and Petrol colour.

3. Rimmel Lasting Finish Sugar Plum Lipstick £4.86

I am definitely ready for a new lipstick this winter! I absolutely LOVE the look of this 'Sugar Plum' Rimmel Lasting Finish lipstick. I've always found Rimmel to be a trusty brand and so far they've never let me down. I previously bought their 'Pleasure Me Red' lipstick which was really good and stayed on for hours so I'm assuming this would be the same! The colour can be worn with natural tones for a simple day out shopping or can be done up with a smoky eye for a night out.

4. Accessorize Pearl Knit and Stripe Slipper Boot - £20.00

How toasty would your feet feel in these?! Very toasty is the answer.
These gorgeous little boots would be perfect for cold cosy nights in when your feet need a little warm up. I especially love how they are lined with fur inside - extra cosy! Almost every winter I buy a new pair of slipper boots as I personally find them essential for winter time. There's nothing worse than cold feet and toes!

5. Butter London Blowing Raspberries Nail Lacquer - £15.00

Described on the website as: A rich, delicious berry nail lacquer. Perfect for in-between days when red is too much and pink is too little.
What a fab description! As you may have noticed from my choice of lipstick above, I am all about the berry and plum shades this winter. Winter can be so cold and bleak but these lovely colours make me feel warm just by looking at them. Although this is, for me, a little pricey for a nail polish, I think I'm willing to splurge out as it looks so delicious.

...So there's my winter wishlist! I know it's only October but time is going so fast - winter will definitely be here much quicker than we expect. Plus, for me, winter starts when the cold weather comes... and it's here! Brrrrrrrrrrrrr.

P.s I hope you all like the little makeover I have given my blog! Comment me with your thoughts, and of course I'd love to hear your own winter wishlists.

Happy Monday
