Back To Basics | OOTD 08.06.14

I am feeling fresh and funkaaaay! There's something about the sun that just seems to put everyone in a fantastic nothing-can-bring-me-down mood. I've definitely caught that infectious feeling from the sunny thing in the sky today and here I am, back with another OOTD! Yeahhhh!

T-shirt - New Look

Acid Wash High Waisted Jeans - New Look
Sandals - Primark
Necklace - Dorothy Perkins
Bag - River Island
Trilby - Peacocks

I decided to call this particular outfit 'Back To Basics' as it is such a simple outfit - literally just jeans and a tee. Everyone has that one backup outfit in their wardrobe just incase something goes wrong or you can't find anything to wear, and this is definitely my backup outfit in life. I love keeping things simple, and you don't get much more simple than this. I decided to team my comfy grey t-shirt and beloved acid wash jeans with a pair of flat sandals, a Dorothy Perkins necklace and a trilby... oh, and my trusty River Island bag (which kinda features in almost every OOTD anyway). My lovely trilby was bought from Peacocks - a place that I don't visit too often, and that when I do I often find it hard to find pieces I like. I don't know what it is, maybe it's just me. Does anyone else have that problem? Anyway, when I popped in recently, I found no other than this gorgeous little summery trilby which I immediately fell head over heels for. I love the light colour and the simple brown strap, and find it goes with pretty much everything. I'm also wearing my simple Primark sandals which once again pretty much go with anything. For such a cheap price, they're lasting well so far. Yay for Primark! And finally I finished my outfit with a Dorothy Perkins necklace that I have had and loved for a very long time now; I love the pretty jewels and bohemian feel to the necklace.
I also have to point that the other day, for the first time ever, I bought a Rimmel ColorBurst Matte Balm in shade 'Audacious'. I know, I know, I'm so late to the party, but lets just say I am in lip heaven right now. This is the most gorgeous shade I think I've come across, and although it is subtle and gentle, it somehow seems bold and statement-like too. I love it.
What have you been wearing this sunny Sunday?

  1. I love the accessories you've put together for this outfit! I have been at home ironing, so my Sunday clothes haven't been quite so glam!
