The Valentine's Tag

It is super windy in Wales today, with trees and fences flying everywhere. All colleges and schools have been closed in my area and winds of 94mph have been recorded - scary stuff!
Of course this can only mean one thing: being tucked up inside with a cup of tea and doing a bit of reading and blogging.

Recently I have done quite a few DIY posts and reviews which have received great responses, but I thought this time I'd do something a little more personal to me. I've seen 'The Valentine's Tag' floating around on a few blogs and have decided to do it myself, to celebrate the little occasion and share a bit more about myself with you guys!

1. What is your favourite Valentines Day treat? I absolutely love homemade cookies and there's nothing better than little heart-shaped ones to celebrate Valentines Day! It's fun to get creative and make some treats, whether you're single or in a relationship.

2. Sweethearts or chocolate covered strawberries? Chocolate covered strawberries every time! There's nothing better.

3. What was your favourite Valentines day memory? Last Valentines Day Oscar and I went away for the night. We did some shopping, went for a lovely Italian and I returned to a bed of rose petals and a bottle of champagne (how lucky am I?!). A hilarious memory from that trip was Oscar accidentally setting off the hotel alarm on our way out in the evening. Sorry to all the grannies stood out in the cold in their dressing gowns because of that!
I also spent one Valentines Day in New York which was amazing.

4. What movie would you rather watch on Valentine's Day: Pretty Woman or You've Got Mail? Pretty Woman. I've never seen You've Got Mail but I absolutely love Pretty Woman. Julia Roberts is a goddess!

5. What celeb would you not mind having as your Valentine? I definitely wouldn't mind having Ed Sheeran as my valentine. I have such a soft spot for his music - he could sing me lovely songs and play his guitar!

6. What would you do on your perfect Valentine's date? I'd love to be abroad in the sun for Valentines Day. The ideal would be to spend all day on the beach and then go out for a lovely meal in the evening followed by a few cocktails!

7. Red or pink lips on Valentines Day? Definitely red! Maybelline Pleasure Me Red Lipstick is one of my timeless favourites.

8. What is your ideal Valentine's Day date outfit? If I was going to restaurant I'd wear a simple LBD (you know you can't go wrong) with a blazer, a clutch and some heels. Safe yet sexy.

9. Homemade or store-bought gifts? Homemade gifts are the best as they are so much more personal. It means so much more when someone has put an effort into making a gift. Love coupons are great homemade gifts for Valentines Day!

10. Would you wear your hair up or hair down for a date night? I'd wear my hair down and loosely curl it. However I think wearing it up could work too - a sleek bun always looks classy.

Do it for yourselves and comment me with the links to your Tag - I'd love to have a read!

Stay safe in this stormy weather beauties and enjoy the rest of your evenings.

  1. Things always seem to taste better when they're heart shaped!! I've got a little red dress lined up as my Valentine's outfit!
