Yippeeee! Guess who's back with a brand new rap, and by rap I mean a scrumptious new blog design from Envye. If this does not give me the ultimate motivation to blog then I honestly don't know what will.
So, it's been a little teeny while since I last wrote a post on here, and I'll spare you all the 'I'm sorry I've been busy' crap because I actually haven't really been that busy. For me, January has been a super chilled month which has involved lots of relaxing, detoxing and discovering. Already I feel like my eyes have been opened, ready for the new year ahead. Coming into 2015 I had all the usual new years resolutions: to eat more healthily, not spend my money on stupid unnecessary things, put more effort into my work at uni etc, but I also had a few more special ones too - ones that I have been working on over the past month.
Lots of the time people, including myself, get so caught up in the superficial drama of everyday life that it's really easy to miss what is really going on here and now. We are all so busy listening to what everybody else is doing, and so interested in everybody else's lives, that it's easy to get lost in our own and miss what our body and the world is really saying to us. One of my main new years resolutions is to feed my mind and soul more, and give more time to myself.
Over the course of January I have been practicing mindfulness meditation, which has taken to me some very peaceful corners of my mind. Just by being aware of your presence and existence in the world, right here and right now, can make you look at life differently. Life is a journey, and a wonderful adventure.
Before launching full-on back into the wonderful world of blogging, I just wanted to share with you a few things I've been doing to reach deep into my soul and bring out my inner loveliness (which you can do too!)
- Meditation. (The book I've been reading, Mindfulness Plain & Simple, is a beautiful eye-opener and I reeeeally recommend it. Stop thinking about yesterday and tomorrow, and focus on today!)
- Finding fun healthy new recipes and cooking. Who ever would have thought I'd be interested in cooking up a pea soup? Become a domestic goddess while you learn and expand your cook book.
- Time alone. And by time alone, I don't mean locking myself in my room for hours on end. I mean taking a walk on my own, reading a book, putting on a hair mask. Giving myself some time to breathe, relax and exist.
- Yoga. So relaxing and peaceful, and Pinterest have the most beautiful boards to follow.
So, as you can tell, I'm feeling very inspired and very hopeful for 2015. I really hope this inspires at least a few of you to get in touch with your spirit and soul, and to go and do some things you haven't done before!
Go, run, follow your dreamsssss!

Firstly, your blog is lovely. Not sure what the blog design was like before and secondly I could really take a leaf out of your book and try to actually relax. I might even start up yoga as I feel I need to something to help me chill out x
